I returned from the Learning 2.008 conference Sunday evening with questions and goals. First of all, let me say that, like last year, it was a great conference attended by fascinating and friendly people. I kicked it off by attending the Edublogger Con, a first for me, at Element Fresh.

At the Edublogger Conference, Brian Crosby tells us about his students
using technology to share work, review it, and learn from the ideas shared.
This session gathered bloggers from around the world. We talked about what technology looks like at our respective schools, how to shift a school, personal journeys, and getting things done at both work and home. Here are my questions and goals that came out of this meet up.
Edublogger Questions
- It’s not about the technology but the literacy, so how should the technological/operational skills develop – on the fly as needed or in isolation?
- What is my message for my school?
Edublogger Goals
- Have students using Skype to go further in their inquiries.
- Not an add-on, make blogging (writing) part of what we do. Set up tools, like ScribeFire, to make this easier.
- Read Leader Talk and The Tipping Point: How Little Things Can Make a Big Difference
Coming up next, my reflection on the presentations I attended on Friday.
- Ewan McIntosh’s Unleashing the Tribe
- Julie Lindsey’s How flat is your classroom. Use these 7 steps for successful global collaboration
- Clarence Fisher’s Literate Online: Reading and Writing are Different on the Web
You can can read published notes on each of these presentations and comment yourself by following the linked titles. You didn’t have to attend the conference to participate in the conference.
